Hiro: The Content Platform Built for the Way the Industry Actually Works

By Tom Squirrell, Chief Product Officer, Pretty Technical

Setting the Scene

If you’ve ever managed casino content across multiple brands, markets and partners, you’ll know how messy it gets. Every jurisdiction has its own rules. Every partner has its own quirks. Before long you’re managing 50 different versions of the same thing and spending more time trying to make systems talk to each other than actually improving them.

That’s why we built Hiro.

We wanted to rethink how content aggregation could work, not by replacing what already exists but by building something that makes the whole process smoother and easier to control.

Why I Built It

After years of working with aggregators across our platform, I realised there was a gap in how things were being done. Aggregators are brilliant. The people we work with are smart, passionate and build great products that operators rely on.

Hiro isn’t about replacing them. It’s about building on what they do.

I wanted to take the best parts of aggregation and expand them. To bring Pretty Technical’s focus on flexibility and control into the content space, and turn what has always been middleware into a real platform that gives people proper visibility and freedom to manage their content.

That’s what Hiro is.

It’s not an aggregator. It’s a content management platform that gives operators and studios complete control over how content is configured, distributed and reported across every brand, every market and every partner.

It’s built to be multi-tenant and multi-jurisdictional from the start, so it fits around your business instead of forcing your business to fit around it.

What I’m Most Proud Of

What we’ve managed to do in a short space of time is something I’m genuinely proud of. We’ve built a product that actually makes people’s jobs easier. It solves real problems by focusing on what matters most: control, flexibility and speed.

Of course, it wasn’t all smooth sailing. There were moments when it felt like something as simple as getting free spins right was going to take 50,000 years. But those challenges are what shaped the product. They forced us to think smarter, simplify processes and make sure Hiro delivers real value, not just features.

The result is a system that removes the noise, automates the boring bits and lets teams get back to growing the business.

How It Fits

Hiro sits right alongside Pretty Technical’s other products. It’s the perfect partner for Mikado.

For operators who want real control and flexibility, Mikado and Hiro together give you the full picture: platform and content working side by side to optimise your business from top to bottom.

We’re not trying to reinvent the industry. We’re just building tools that help it run better.

That’s Hiro. Simple. Scalable. Smart.
